Your Child’s First Dental Visit
Holistic • Functional • Airway Centered Care

The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) recommends your child’s first dental visit by age 1 or within 6 months of their first tooth.

Here's what to expect at their first visit with us.

Airway & Oral Function Screening

We start with a friendly, pressure-free introduction to the dental space to build comfort and trust.

We check for early cavities, gum health, and proper tooth eruption, along with xrays—just like the AAPD recommends.

Breathing through the nose? Tongue resting on the palate? These are key to long-term health. With training from The Breathe Institute, Tongue-tie Academy, and Airway Health Solutions, we assess tongue-tie, oral posture, and early signs of sleep-disordered breathing.

Holistic recommendations for oral health routines and diet for optimal microbiome balance and cavity prevention.  We recommend products such as SuperMouth, FYGG, and Risewell to help remineralize teeth.

We’ll guide you on brushing, feeding, habits (like thumb sucking), early orthodontic intervention options, and how to support your child’s growing airway.
